EngageHIV programme
E3 is convinced that grassroots churches who proclaim the gospel in both word and deed are the key to effective mission and community transformation. Alongside prioritising the training of grassroots pastors, we realise that authentic mission also means engaging with needs in the local community, including those that result from HIV and AIDS.
HIV and AIDS is an important entry point for mission in many communities. However, there are many associated issues that create and sustain poverty, which include other factors related to health, nutrition, agricultural practice, limited access to education and resources, injustice at different levels and economic hardship. Many of these, and others, are at work in the communities where our partners work. While supporting churches as they respond to HIV and AIDS is our strength, we are working with our partners in other areas, as well as encouraging other partnerships that address these issues.
